Pension Review
You should review your pension funding arrangements regularly, ideally every year. Similarly you should review the investments held in your pension - you need to know that they're performing as well as you expected, and ensure that they match your current risk profile. It's important to have a financial advisor who understands what you're trying to achieve. You don't need to be a pensions expert - it's a complex and sometimes daunting subject. If you don't feel that you can call your advisor for a chat, then it's probably time for a pension review.
Have a look at the following questions. Do you know the answers to all or most of them? If you don't, or you're not sure, it could be time to complete the form at the bottom of this page, and get in touch with an expert.
- - How big your does your pension need to be?
- - What income level do you need to live on in retirement?
- - What sort of return are you getting from your pension fund investments?
- - How does your fund's performance compare with the competition?
- - Are you confident your money is invested in the right sector (UK Equity, UK Property, European Equity, Worldwide Fixed Interest, etc)?
- - Have you had a comprensive review of your pension arrangements in the last year or two?
